Each year, there are around 6000 injuries on the New Zealand construction site that have resulted in more than a week away from work [1]. It is critical for the government to implement a new measurement to detect construction site hazards, thus preventing accidents from happening. This paper focuses on identifying personnel on site and determines whether they are wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hard helmet and high-visibility clothing (Hi-Vis).
