Improving the resilience and sustainability of buildings.
Developing products, systems and design methods for the non-structural elements of buildings.
NON-STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS EXPERIMENTAL TESTING
Rajesh Dhakal, University of Canterbury
Tim Sullivan, University of Canterbury
Produce experimental evidence of the seismic performance of non-structural elements to enable the development of improved design methods/standards and technologies.
STRATEGIC REVIEW OF DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF NON STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS
Jan Stanway, WSP-Opus
Our objective with this project is to improve the resilience and sustainability of buildings by developing new products/systems and design methods for the non-structural elements of buildings. Identify problems with current design and construction practices and pathways for addressing issues.
NON-STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS TESTING FACILITY
Tim Sullivan, University of Canterbury
The purpose of this report is to investigate the value to New Zealand building industry in developing a system for assessing and improving the seismic and functional (weather-tightness, fire, acoustic, thermal, etc.) performance of non-structural elements.
